Salve! Mentre leggevo il giornale di ieri ho scovato questa notizia di attualità perfetta per il mio blog.
Vivienne Westwood si è alleata con Greenpeace per salvare il circolo polare artico dall'inquinamento che ne causa lo scioglimento e libera territorio da poter sfruttare per nuovi giacimenti pretoliferi.
Ovviamente la donna che ha letteralmente diretto le mode del mondo per anni, non poteva non riflettere questo coinvolgimento nella sua ultima collezione.
Così alla sfilata di presentazione, modelli e modelle sfilano gli uni vestiti come cavalieri che tornano dalle crociate, e le altre come principesse in attesa del ritorno dei loro amati. Su questi outfit medievali spicca però la frase " CLIMATE REVOLUTION", che è il nome della campagna promossa da Vivienne per Greenpeace.
La stilista ha spesso usato la sua creatività per far risuonare le esigenze umane. Basti pensare che è stata lei a lanciare il punk style.
La Westwood si unirà inoltre al gruppo di attivisti che andrà nel circolo per scolpire nel ghiaccio lo slogan: " FERMATEVI". Questo suo gesto ha avuto una risonanza immensa, centinaia di star hanno aderito alla campagna di Greepeace e si è innescata una reazione a catena.
Personalmente sono da sempre un grande sostenitore delle campagne di Greenpeace, perchè credo che solo rispettando l'ambiente si rispetti il prossimo, e vedere che personaggi di una certa fama come la Westwood si schierino in difesa del mondo è una grande vittoria per l'umanità.
Alla sfilata di lancio della nuova collezione a Parigi Vivienne Westwood si è mostrata indossando semplicemente uno short e una t-shirt bianca con il titolo della campagna. "I know it's all a bit young." Ha detto "But that's not the point." Semplice ma geniale. Così come la mia amata Gaga che è da sempre vicina alle cause che difendono i diritti umani e l'ambiente; nella foto sfoggia infatti uno degli outfit proposti dalla Weswood.

Vivienne Westwood joined Greenpeace to protect the artic circle from pollution which is melting the glacier and is clearing new land for oilfield.
So the woman who literaly run world's fashion for years could use her new collection for the campaign, and so she did.
So for the presentation of the new collection, men model dressed like they're knight backing from Crusade, and women model like princess waiting her lover's back. Upon these medieval oufit appear the words: " CLIMATE REVOLUTION"
which is the title of the campaign joined by Vivienne.
The stylist used to use her creativity for giving voice to the human needs, considering she was the one who started the punk style.
She even will go with the activist to the artic circle for writing on the ice the motto: " STOP IT". Since she joined the campaign a lot of Stars did it, so we have to say thank you to Vivienne because her act has been a chain reaction.
I have always been a supporter of Greenpeace campaign, because I think that only by the environment's respect we can respect neighbor, and when people like Vivienne choose to defend the world it's a great victory for all the whole humanity.
When she was in Paris for her new colection, she wore just a short and a white t-shirt with the title of the campaign and she said: "I know it's all a bit young. But that's not the point." Easy but brilliant. As much as Gaga who joined tha campaign and wears the Westwood's outfit.
